(100 Avis)We were delayed twice on our ferry crossing from the UK and travelling with 1 year old made this a tiring journey. On arrival, in the early hours, we were welcomed with a note in our room from Pierre at reception, informing us that we could stay past the 12 checkout free of charge and gave our daughter a small teddy in her cot. This gesture really made us smile and helped ease some of the frustrstion from a delayed journey....

Domaine De La Rançonnière
(3 Avis)Beautiful 13th century fortified manor, ideally located for a visit to the D-Day beaches. Staff are very helpful and the reception desk is quick to answer any call. The rooms are very well appointed in a traditional style with a medieval flavour. Our room had all modern amenities but we had trouble with the Internet. Because of the thick walls of the old building we were unable to get wifi or 4G in our room. We always had to go out in the courtyard to read our mails. Best reception was in the bar. The food was of a brasserie level and I think this hotel that does everything so well should try to upgrade the restaurant to a culinary guide level. Special mention goes to the wine list with some nice affordable wines. Outside the gate is a memorial dedicated to the Belgian pilots who took part in the Normandy landing....

Les bâtiments, construits selon la tradition normande, sont insérés dans le paysage et dans la nature avec sagesse et délicatesse. Hêtres, cerises, chênes, hortensias, roses, fougères, clématites et de nombreuses autres plantes entourent les bâtiments et le paysage immergé dans la claire lumière de l’Atlantique. Le service est familier et impeccable, le petit déjeuner à la bibliothèque et le déjeuner aux chandelles dans le jardin sont excellents, la chambre parfaite du linge de maison à l'ameublement! Je veux revenir! ...
