Domaine De La Rançonnière
(3 Avis)Beautiful 13th century fortified manor, ideally located for a visit to the D-Day beaches. Staff are very helpful and the reception desk is quick to answer any call. The rooms are very well appointed in a traditional style with a medieval flavour. Our room had all modern amenities but we had trouble with the Internet. Because of the thick walls of the old building we were unable to get wifi or 4G in our room. We always had to go out in the courtyard to read our mails. Best reception was in the bar. The food was of a brasserie level and I think this hotel that does everything so well should try to upgrade the restaurant to a culinary guide level. Special mention goes to the wine list with some nice affordable wines. Outside the gate is a memorial dedicated to the Belgian pilots who took part in the Normandy landing....

Hôtel Mercure Cabourg Hippodrome
(100 Avis)Un séjour gâché dans un lieu pourtant sympa. On peine à comprendre le tarif et les 4 étoiles de ce Mercure Hippodrome de Cabourg dont l'entretien et le niveau de service ont été défaillants, principalement le nettoyage des chambres (sous-traité à une société tierce) totalement navrant. De plus, ma compagne a été victime d'un accident dans les vestiaires de la piscine sur un sol non adapté, glissant et non indiqué comme dangereux. La qualité du cadre, du petit déjeuner et l'amabilité du personnel (hormis le directeur aux abonnés absents lors de l'accident de ma compagne) autorisent une deuxième étoile pour la note finale. Mais vu le prix, je m'attendais à infiniment mieux !...
